I bought this for my husband to wear to walk. He is a superintendent for a bridge company and he's constantly outside in the cold and other elements. It works great for him. The only thing I would recommend is actually having the battery charger come with the purchase of the coat, because you have to buy this separate as of right now. I purchased an extra battery so he would be able to switch the batteries out while one is charging and it works great.
